NISKA APT

IN CONTEPORARY H FRAME

The intensification of spending time in apartments due to the pandemic significantly contributed to the perception of comfort in the interior.Olga and Michał live in Warsaw’s Muranów and it was the remote work that prompted them to consider improving the function and arrangement of the apartment.
The 38-meter apartment is located in a building from the 1960s, built using H-frame technology.
It was the surroundings and the building itself that were the starting point for Dawid Konieczny to create an interior design.Customers collect contemporary paintings and are fascinated by the art and design of the last century. The multitude of colors in the details was the guideline to create a monochrome base. The microcement used in the living area, terrazzo tiles in the bathroom and the modernized version of the paneling in the hall refer to the years of the building in a refreshed, modern form.
In the living area of the kitchen, the architect designed fronts with veneer accents, which were also used in other interior elements such as a bed or bathroom cabinet. A kitchen with a small island where you can find Hay hookers and a Nordlux hanging lamp. In the seating area, a vintage table by Michel Dumas for Roche Bobois (1970s France), an R360 armchair designed by J. Rożański (Poland 1950s), a Muuto floor lamp, a me- tallic stool by Oskar Zięta, a Hay table and a navy blue sofa. It is worth noting that some of the items come from the Yestersen collection. The paintings of Grzegorz Jarzynowski, Nikodem Szpunar, Sonia Dubois and Julia Mirna constitute a collection of contemporary paintings. In the bedroom, a bed designed by an architect to maximize the storage area and improve the comfort of the space. Above the bed, there are two wall lamps from Zangra, which can be controlled by customers using switches built into the bed form. A vintage chair by Maarten Van Severen (Vitra) is a colorful accent in the bedroom.
